    O/T Visits to the Vets.

For all you animal lovers out there, just made a quick enquiry as to an appointment booked in for our family pet.

All non emergency bookings are being cancelled and only emergency or urgent medical surgery treatment is now available at Crookes Vets on Wellgate, Rotherham.

I assume geographically, others will use different Vets for their loved pets/animals. Best to make a check first if you're thinking of calling to one because you already have an appointment booked in.

    Meeow and Wuff Wuff.

Had a letter from Medivet head office in Watford, regarding any treatment required my pet may require and the Covid-19 virus, we use Arncliffe vet's in Wath-on-Dearne, which is part of the Medivet group.

We wanted to update you on the steps that we are taking to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional care for you and your pet during these challenging times, and also to assure you that Medivet Wath is open as usual.
    Covid-19 and your pet
According to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), the current spread of Covid-19 is a result of human-to-human transmission. To date there is no evidence that pets can spread the disease.
Unless you have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or are self-isolating with possible Covid-19, You should continue to interact with your pet as normal, but maintain good hygiene around handwashing. It's also a good idea to try and buy some extra pet food and medication in case of future self-isolation.
If you are diagnosed with Covid-19, you should restrict contact with pets as a precautionary animal health measure until more information is known about the virus and keep up the handwashing.
    Visiting your Medivet practice
If you have a appointment or need to visit the practice, we would be grateful if you could support us in the following ways.
If you are self-isolating or displaying any coronavirus symptoms, please ask a non-effected family member or friend to bring your pet to see us.
If your pet needs treatment and you don't have anybody else who can bring them in, please call the practice for assistance and we will advise you on how we will provide the best care for your pet.
Please can we request that wherever possible only one person accompany your pet to the practice.

Anyone who may need the vet practice in the Swinton / Wath area heres the telephone number and e-mail
    Medivet Wath 01709 760 301 e-mail [email protected]

Due to the situation may be changing, advice can be found on their website www.medivet.co.uk/coronavirus
