On top of all this, she's fast approaching her 51st birthday ( slightly higher risk group ) and she's trying to look after her ederly parents and mother in-law, all of which have health problems. I wanted to show my support, someone else wanted to score political points.

ps. My wife's been doing the work of someone on a far higher pay grade for years. I'm well aware of under funding in the NHS.

Is this the same wife who tells you all about how many foreigners she’s having to work with?

My missus has worked in the NHS for 20+ years, was made redundant from the really good GP out of hours service which was replaced by the shyte but cheap 111 service. She went out on strike last year at great financial cost to try to protect the local services and also her and her colleagues T and Cs.. As a former ITU nurse she’s very likely to get the call up for the current situation, no problem if she gets the right PPE, but obviously the government have messed up the procurement process for that so it could be a big problem.

Neither of us could stand the hypocrisy of last night where people who’ve voted for a government that have imposed years of 1% pay rises on NHS staff and took away nursing bursaries were giving them a clap as if that means anything.

To sum up anyone claiming the NHS isn’t political can jog on in my book.

Because if they had, I'm pretty sure the tracing process of who they came into contact with would involve me as I'm the only one with details of all the people who went.

Try and forget about it, it's really not a big thing.

Must agree ........ even the owners/trainers enclosure has it's share of drunks and people who don't know what etiquette and manners mean, so I'm told.

To answer your question.....all she said was it's the same 3 nurses who are always of sick. I asked her and she said one was English, the other two weren't.
    Now jog on fatlad.
ps. Correct me if I'm wrong , but didn't you mention the nationality of the lazy b@stard you have to work with.

Why would I forget it, it's clearly annoying you. Oh, didn't someone on here say they know of someone who went for a day at the races and is now coughing up blood !

Yes, he is was Scottish. And? I wasn’t saying he should be kicked out for being Scottish, that he was Scottish and therefore lazy, or that I was sick of Scottish people coming here taking our jobs, and lowering wages. It was a statement of fact.

Why did you ask about the nationality of your wife’s colleagues? The suspicion I have is that some people’s love for the NHS is overshadowed by their dislike of foreigners and a desire to see fewer of them ‘over here’. Hence the referendum result, and the recent election result.

I’m sure that’s not the case for you Sailor Boy.

It's not annoying me, but it's probably boring the tits off everyone else.

That's great Navy she is a star and deserves all the praise she and all NHS staff are getting.

I know he was Scottish, you told he was Scottish in your original post. Not sure why you mentioned he was Scottish. Lazy would have done. You keep telling yersen your different fatboy.
My wife said so and so is off work again so I have to do an extra shift. I said that's an unusual name , she said she's Bulgarian. I said lazy Bulgarian b@astard. Bit like you said " lazy Scottish b@stard" . Hope that answers your question.
On another note fatlad. As your wife volunteered to help the NHS in this national emergengy ?
