Booked a cottage in Kent for June, tried to cancel as soon as the virus threat became a serious one , 3 weeks ago , the company Cottages.com
wanted half the full amount of the cost of the holiday even though in their terms and conditions it states that if you do cancel up to 70 days before travelling then the deposit is non returnable which we were prepared to accept. Contact with the company is non existent except for emails from them telling me my holiday is getting close so pay the balance. TrustPilot reviews is swamped with people who can't get a refund, the stock answer from the company is wait and re-book your holiday next year, one of the reviewers has been asked to pay £360 extra next year at an alternative cottage. Regarding biting the bullet and being in it all together, the parent company apparently made £20.000.000 profit last year . Could someone sort link out please?
