Incredibly, we have only ever lost by more than six goals at home just once. Even more surprising is that it happened during the first few months of the first ever Football League season, 0-7 v Preston North End.

Should point out that Fword lost by 7 at home as recently as 21 years ago, 8-1 to Man United.

Up until the late 1980's the record books always used to say they were called Thornhill United who we beat 15-0 before suddenly deciding to call them Rotherham Town who later amalgamated with Rotherham County to become Rotherham United.
