Do you even know what you're commenting on? This was not a fred about party politics but about this Forest fan who still pathetically believes the concern over Coronavirus is a media invention. I don't believe that for a moment. My daughter has it tonight and it wasn't given her by the media.
Just get literate, Joe, it works wonders. I actually think we were on the same side on this issue but you were too thick to see it, moron.

Of course he doesn't know what he's commenting on, he very rarely does. He just repeats an endless series of tedious soundbites because he lacks the mental capacity to discuss or debate.

I was going to say he's an embarrassment to the right wing, but thinking about it he's an embarrassment to the human race.

I've just read the column written by M.D. in Private Eye - who is always a very interesting read - in the previous issue (I'm purposefully reading very slowly so I don't run out of Eyes to read) when the number of deaths from Covid were at 35. Obviously this has got worse since then.

Why this thread made me re-read it was that he discusses the comparative death rate considering the impact at the time, and there's a possible explanation for similarities in there in that having people actually washing their hands properly and frequently "is likely to have reduced the incidence of seasonal influenza, food poisoning, hepatitis A, threadworm and pubic hair in Caesar salad". Which is not just amusing but also makes you wonder about how many people die each year from those things simply because most folks don't wash their hands. But it definitely doesn't show that Covid is no big deal as seems to be the suggestion when the cold hard numbers are brought up.

There's other stuff in there too, including stuff that agrees with Tarquin's point that some of the people we have lost may have died from other conditions, and links to many pieces he has written recently about the effects that austerity have had on health (hint - not good) but I've written enough essays on here in the past.
