So exactly how do you explain the 60% increase in deaths in the week to April 3rd compared with the average of the previous 5 years?

I'm sure the professor is a very clever bloke who is capable of making valid points, but I was talking more about you agreeing with dam617's appraisal of the situation, which is basically that it's just a bit of flu and not causing any extra deaths.

Or as Donald would say, it's "fake news".

i reckon Donnie will go mega big on blaming Ghina before too long, the man is drowning. Personally I wouldn't fall out with them just yet, they've recently started 'Human' trials on some vaccines.

Is that China or Ghana? I doubt he knows the difference. I know there are different political points of view, but I can't for the life of me understand why anyone can see this slimy pink blob as a 'great leader' apart from Trump himself. Surely his constant u-turns on the severity of coronavirus shows he is completely out of his depth. Bullying, bribing, lying and pulling rank have got him this far, but he can't do that to a virus.

The education system in America must be a good one, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they are stupid enough to give this vile person a second term in office.

Look, no one is saying this virus is not nasty, but what some are saying is we tackled it all wrong, we should have gone with the heard syndrome, did you know there is a graph showing everyone started to lock down after the peak, yes we were already on our way out of it, and the lock down as made it last longer

Yes you can make graphs show anything you want Chelts?

The UK was meant to to lose 500,000 lives according to one boff, then realizing he had got it wrong he knocked it down to 100,000, now he is saying we will lose 20,000, and it was because we locked down quick, no we locked down after it was in decline, mean time our economy is going to the wall.

Also there is no evidence that a lock down has made any difference, countries that did not lock down appear to be just the same as us or better, but their economy will be a damn site better than ours.

Finally will someone, who as the knowledge answer my questions from an earlier thread see below

    1. is the FLU a virus? i think the answer to this is YES?

    2. what are the main causes of death in FLU and what are the main causes death in CORONA? i think it is respiratory disease or pneumonia

ok the COVID is slightly quicker in it's delivery, but a bit more nasty in it's strain

So folks as i see it this is not the end of the world, please get a grip and stop scaremongering.

As for the media, showing a video of Italian hospitals and saying it was NY? also showing a woman crying because she did not have equipment to handle the virus, when in reality she was sacked the year before and was crying because she lost her job? did anyone notice in Italy the trolley's dashing through the nurses rest room and they were playing cards in the background?

If government decide to wait 12 months in lock down waiting for a vaccine, that might not work, we will become a police state, one woman in the US took a car ride on her own and got a $200 fine, and don't get me started with the supermarkets, me and my partner were ridiculed by a young guy out side Sainsbury's because we were in two's, so i said fine i will bet another trolley as we don't live together, he wanted to know our addresses for gods sake.

Here ya go boys and girls births this year 40,000,000, deaths this year 16,000,000, don't stop me now ime winning

I notice Wikipedia have a page dedicated to epidemics and pandemics throughout the centuries which provides some interesting context:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_epidemics

Wow, you actually do seem to agree with him! That's all I wanted to know.

ps Did you know that Sainsbury's have instructed that only individuals are allowed in the shops? There are exemptions such as carers and children who can't be left alone, but if you went as a couple with your partner you deserve all the ridicule you get. It's thoughtless and selfish bast@rds like you that are causing problems for those who do follow the rules.

I hadn't seen that one before.

It does illustrate what I've said previously however, that it's really hard to parody someone who regularly offers completely ridiculous as normal!
