    Lost the plot.
Hi my friend i suppose we will find out hopefully sooner or later if Wittowski theory is correct.

No i did not hear that about Johnson, but we all know the illness his here, for me it's just the way we are tackling it, my god if we go a year under lock down waiting for a vaccine, what will we be left economy wise, i don't care how you look at the figures this is not going to exterminate the human race imo

I don't do politics, ime a none of the above type for me it would not matter who was in power they would all get slaughtered just the same.

Anyway thank you for your input my friend, he is certainly an interesting character Professor Wittowski.

Just imagine, after all this we’ve got to through the rigmarole of whether the Brexit transition period gets extended. The government are currently insisting it won’t be.

They’ll continue to insist that right up until they agree to extend the Brexit transition period.

The Rockefeller University releases statement concerning Knut Wittkowski

    April 13, 2020

The opinions that have been expressed by Knut Wittkowski, discouraging social distancing in order to hasten the development of herd immunity to the novel coronavirus, do not represent the views of The Rockefeller University, its leadership, or its faculty.

Wittkowski was previously employed by Rockefeller as a biostatistician. He has never held the title of professor at Rockefeller.

Here's the guy's LinkedIn profile. He has a degree in medical biometry and a PhD in computer science.

I can't see anything on there that would mark him out as a leading expert on respiratory diseases.

I also notice the videos of him talking about coronavirus on YouTube have a hell of a lot of ads on them. There's a reason why Alex Jones wears a Rolex I suppose.

There's a chance there'll be nothing to Brexit from.

My thoughts exactly, would be interesting hearing anyone's thought on when will be the best time to exit the lock down, are we going to wait till there are no deaths?

Believe me i am praying this thing is on the decline, and not just for the sake of the economy, but also for the families of the dead.

Anyway on a nice note, i go and take my exercise on the embankment living in the Meadows, now i am getting on a bit so i am a bit slow, so i generally get out the way or the young uns, and it's surprising the amount of thank you's you get from them, makes my day, tain't all bad.

Err that's not how it works, you're supposed to tell me I'm a dick and to go **** myself. (Only joking - glad you didnt!)

I'm sure the man in the videos is highly intelligent (I actually did him a disservice, he's got a higher doctorate in medical biometry, not a degree) but he seems to be more of a numbers guy, and his continued references to coronavirus as 'flu' make me think that isn't his specialisation.

I'm also sceptical about his claim that if we just let the virus rip it would all be over in two weeks.

I agree with you that we can't put the world on lockdown forever and the cure shouldn't be worse than the disease. The ideal strategy is to buy time with the lockdown, get the number of beds, ventilators and staff as high as possible to cope with what comes next, and get people back to work (if they can't work from home) with compulsory face masks and gloves everywhere.

It's not looking good for bars and restaurants. I really don't know what can be done about them right now.

    Great reply mate,
Think we are all stabbing in the dark at moment, don't think i am much different to most on here, we all want an end to the damn thing.
But i do value other peoples thoughts, not a great poster on here myself, more of a reader than a poster, and yes i was a little tongue in cheek with my earlier posts, and if i offended anyone i am truly sorry.

    Anyways one things for sure..............COYP!!!!

    What 'lockdown'?

    A definition of a 'lockdown' wouldn't include
continuing inbound flights, rescuing migrants and ferrying them to Dover - not to mention (actually mentioning, **** it) mass gatherings at Mosques and weddings.
Lockdown? For the many, not the few.
