That's a statement from DSA not from the club and is based on a conversation between JN and an anonymous DSA representative. It also raises lots more questions rather than answering any.

If JN is so right here and has taken all the criticism, lies and accusations on his own shoulders why can't he just come out and publicly state who these criticisms, lies and accusations came from? Why can't he more specifically say which of the comments that landed in the public domain were criticisms of him and / or Dundee FC in general, which were outright lies and which were unfounded accusations?

This needs clarified and we, as fans of the club, deserve to know who criticised, who lied and who falsely accused; as do fans of other involved clubs and the media.

According to this statement the club are squeaky clean in all of this. Let's see the proof from a club representative rather than putting out more wishy washy deflection via an anonymous DSA committee representative. Remember - the DSA only represents its members clubs and not all Dundee fans - we all deserve to know the facts not just the DSA committee.

The plot thickens and the darkness and **** in which us fans are kept and are fed upon simply grows more intense and frustrating.

Jurys out whether right or wrong.

Don't like when DSA who are a small club within a club or dfcss who are an even smaller section get "briefed" before anyone else.

Jury's out because we're given no reliable information, just Chinese whispers via an anonymous individual who's opinion is that everything's hunky dory.

Agree about DSA / DFCSS, or anyone else representing a very small percentage of the fan base, hearing before the entire fan base. Extremely disrespectful of the John Nelms to do this - should be a public statement from the club. These clubs / societies are no more deserving of an explanation than you or I.

I think the jury's out until we see what or if anything comes about.

No that impressed with a one season 14 team spl, cud see the benefits to DFC if 14 is on going, would prefer 16 or 18 team league.

I'm not even sure we are gonna see any football this calender year, things did not and still don't have to be rushed but they will be and we will probably come up with a ****e resolution.

If there's change its got to be change for the benefit of the game for the next 20 or 30 years not to save hearts, Partick or whoever and try and ease the conscious of the club's who voted yes.

    1. Play to a finish

    2. Null and void

    3. Reconstruct for the benefit of the fans and not fricking sky or the old firm. **** there 4 games I'm getting sick to the back teeth hearing about it.

I agree primarily with what you've said in this topic but what I would point out is the 2nd statement was a response to questions from the DSA. The DSA put questions to the board, sent them in an email to member clubs and gave it to The Tully and Nelms responded. While no where close to representing the whole fan base, the DSA is likely to biggest fan group now with over 1000 members in 35 clubs. (It said that in The Tully). Did anyone else ask Nelms any questions? DFCSS? Any other fans, individuals, shareholders, stakeholders, sponsors or fan groups? I don't know but what we do know is tje DSA asked questions and got private and public responses. I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing unless others asked and got no response.

If your head is stuck up Nelms erse and you speak to him every day without questioning or criticising him, your bound to get a non informative answer to any question you ask

The DSA does not have over 1,000 members at all. It has 35 (your / Tully number not mine) member clubs many of which consist of fewer than 10 members. It is run by a committee of individuals with vested interests and is, and this is my opinion, not representative of the views of the members of its member clubs let alone Dundee FC fans as a whole. All in all it has no remit to represent Dundee FC fans (only Dundee FC supporters clubs) and should not therefore approach the press purporting to represent us fans.

On top of that JDFC is 100% correct in his observation that 'If your head is stuck up Nelms erse and you speak to him every day without questioning or criticising him, your bound to get a non informative answer to any question you ask'.

The number of 1000 members wasn’t my number it was in The Tully but that would out at an average of only 29 members per club and would seem plausible as a number of clubs have over 100 members.

I don’t think the DSA ever approached the press claiming to represent the fans - I may be wrong and you could maybe price to me I’m wrong cos I’d be disappointed if true. I don’t think they’ve ever claimed to have a remit to represent Dundee fans - again I could be wrong

I’d also be surprised if the DSA speak to Nelms every day.

My original point was simply has anyone else asked Nelms to explain Dundee’s position in the vote
