The gov aren't gonna focus on the north - they will do what they always do - lie and focus on London. We're blessed that Private investment in the form of the Saudis and the Ruebens are spending money in the North East.

Don't kid yourself about the government.

However, any investment that comes about via this they'll claim some credit for, so this does further support the govt. will support and possible push for Saudi ownership being successful.

I would’ve thought that the best (only?) way to stop alleged Saudi backed tv piracy would be to let them own one of the PL clubs??
