    Pretty blinkered if so.
Just had a look at it Howdy. From what I can see (quick skim and a few clicks is all) it looks like one quite dubious individual (the nurse, and I say dubious really based on her response to Johnson's hospitalisation really) being contradicted from another individual who says his partner works at the same hospital as the nurse, and published a photo of some lorries in a car park.

The individual who tweeted the photos said that the PPE delivery had been "just delivered". Does this imply that they have been working unprotected up to the day that the nurse tweeted? Might the hospital have had a good supply of the PPE that the nurse distributed to the soup kitchen, but not the PPE that she felt they were short of?

Hard to draw any conclusion either way from such flimsy evidence but sad that a) sky news and any other outlets reported her tweets without checking out any further details on her or her hospital, and b) sad that Guido and Fire are using such a flimsy evidence base to discredit any nurses who feel exposed by shortages as left wing conspirators. All seems very shallow and desperate.

I actually do agree taht whilst wanting the media to remain vigilant and scrutinise decision making up top, some media outlets are clearly just selling on scandal and this is unhelpful at this time. However, the Government are big boys and girls and more than capable of dealing with it without effecting performance. Gove said at the weekend, that it is only right that they should be scrutinised. Fair play to him.

I'm not discrediting all doctors and nurses just saying that a minority are Labour activists and are exploiting the situation.

It's been going on for years:

This is true - whilst home schooling and working at home is hard to balance, it has led to huge amounts of quality fam time with garden activities and games that we wouldn't have if at work. Seeing big parts of your kid growing, and being part of her schooling I think will be looked back on fondly when all goes back to normal. Good to hear from you Frog. Keep well

Problem is ragin not everyone is as intelligence as your self and are very gullible and believe owt they read.
I've said several times finger pointing and stick poking is what the tabloids do best. In these unprecedented times it's not necessary.
We all know in time questions will need answering and questions will be asked.

I don't think I've said any different. Completely agree. Lessons need to be learned.

It's brilliant init. I've been fortunate for the past 18 years to do it with my own kids and I'm now doing it with grandkids. I work 9am to 3pm so can drop them at school and then collect them again. They help with making dinner and we get to play plenty. Plus it makes me less guilty on Saturday when I'm at footy
Must admit though. I/ we need to do more home schooling in this lockdown. When my kids came home for school just before holidays they would get several homework projects. I would put them in a draw and give them back the first day back at school. I've been pulled several times by various teachers asking why the homework was not completed. I replied they are on holiday, they like everyone needs a rest from work. If the grades slip then they will put in the extra work.

So, THREE nurses with left wing political links have been interviewed (you posted the same one twice in your links) by different media outlets and you are using that as a basis of a significant issue that "has been going on for years"?

Most professions will have members of political organisations, right and left wing. Should they not be allowed to express their views? I'd agree that it's sloppy of the media to not check them out first, but I've already said that about the case you linked to. But I don't think that should be enough to get the conspiracy juices flowing.

I've linked to one doctor and four nurses, you want more, heard of Karie Murphy?

I said it was a minority, it just tends to the minority that the BBC and Channel 4 interview, without mentioning their Labour links of course.

    Talking

Macron has made just 3 tv appearences (I don't think that Boris Johnson would have gotten away with just 3 addresses if he hadn't have been ill although he's made many more anyway.). The first was to tell everyone off for being naughty boys and girls for going out for one last piss up whan they said that the country was going on lockdown as punishment. The second was to tell everyone that it was serious and what they were going to do about the crisis, he thanked the 1000 people who had volunteered after the appeal to get supplies ad help to the people in need. The third time was to explain that the lockdown was going to be extended until the 11th May and that things would start to reopen. He also stressed that herd imunity was the way forward for France which shocked most people. France and the French press had slaughtered Boris for this and now they didn't know what to think.

The opening of movement is solely a economical one in my opinion that a health one. The talk of us all being supplied with washable face masks that must be worn outside the house is concerning. It's going to be enforcable with a 12€ fine. I see that in the UK there have been 4000 or so fines issued, well in Paris tere have been half a million alone and still the people are continuing to go out in numbers, have parties and last week a car pulling a caravan with a family in the car drove past my house.

The Britsh government is far more open than the French by a country mile, their Prime Minister has staged questions and answer questions on a platform that is so annoying that you wonder why they've bothered.

The Nursing homes have seen over 7000 deaths in them but hospitals have seen less than the UK it seems.

The talk of Cheltenham and the Liverpool Madrid games have been a source for critisism for the British population but compare that to staging the council elections a week before lockdown and then you really have to wonder what the health experts were telling governments. If it's always been a plan for herd immunity then what is going to happen to the Germans when thier lockdowns are over?

Anyhow, 5 full weeks with only gardening to do I am thankful for global warming because it's been lovely weather until this week.

We're keeping well, brewing beer and trying to make the most of a bad situation.
Great read Frog, hope they open a few more places for you on the 11th of May. People need to get out for their own sanity otherwise the alternative is being on here pulling teeth
