"Public approval of the Government's handling of the coronavirus crisis has fallen for a second week in a row, according to a poll tracking opinion over the course of the pandemic. The proportion of respondents who approve of the Government's response to the outbreak dropped by 7 per cent, to 52 per cent, with 40 per cent stating that they disapproved."

We're getting there Alfie, it was nearly 70% a couple of weeks ago, down to 52% now, once it drops below 50% alarm bells will be ringing in Downing St and things will start to happen. Can't be long now.

Other countries are already reducing their lockdowns.

So we have an opportunity to see how that works out for them before we begin to take the manacles off.

If it is looking good then we can follow suit.

If not then they would be right to keep us banged up.

Remember, we have moved from zero deaths to over 20,000 in less than seven weeks.

I hope they get it right...

"I hope they get it right..."

Don't bet on it 59, James Forsyth in the Speccy,

"Cabinet members have been taken aback by the disagreements among those now advising the government. One minister remarks, with a note of shock, that ‘scientists are as bitchy as a bunch of lawyers’ and that ‘there are a lot of people who want Whitty’s job’, a reference to the chief medical officer Chris Whitty. Another notes: ‘The Sage [Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies] committee members don’t even agree with each other, they bicker. And we talk about following “the science” as if there’s one opinion and not at least seven."

It's the blind leading the blind at the moment mon ami.

Lockdown? Fu-cking lockdown? The queue outside B & Q in Bolton yesterday was bigger than the queue at Deadwood on a match day.

If "herd immunity" really does not work, the good folks of Bolton are truly fu-cked!
