I could...or the Tissington and Manifold Valley Trails. Not today though...too cold, not remotely Spanish and no warm welcoming pub en route.

Judging by the state of some of the fellahs in the houses behind ours that would mean they'd not be allowed to drive off their premises

Papers telling stories that pubs could be shut until Xmas?

If so, the chances of a football crowd assembling are zero.

Suspect both those scenarios are likely to be true, Tricky.

Another factor is, even when the lockdown is eased sufficiently for football crowds to gather again, there may still be age, health and social distancing factors to be considered. I know that parts of grounds tend to be full of 15-30 something year olds but there are an awful lot in the 55-75+ category too.

Things are, imo, going to be very different for a very long time.

    Quite true RA.

My question is, folks are flapping about this season. But next season is going to be a joke as well.

Different problems. We have to work out a way of resolving matters that are over 75% complete for this season.

Next season - and the transfer window in between - will certainly be different, and I’m fairly sure it won’t be kicking off in August. Not necessarily a ‘joke’ though.

Gove said that the hosptality sector (pubs, restaurants etc) will be among the last to reopen. That caused a spokesman for Truman's Brewery in London to offer the Christmas quote. Possibly as a worst case scenario and the papers seem to have run with it...... Personally I wait until I have verifiable proof or knowledge.

I know part of tomorrow's Dutch government easing through personal knowlegde. I will PM my "knowledge" to rA and he can confirm it tomorrow.

    This is interesting.
It would affect DCFC as well wouldn't it?

    possibly June then?

EFL want ours done in 56 days.
Must be a delay into September(ish) for next season.

Whether it does or doesn't, I tend to agree with it. Its anti competitive, not level playing field. However it cannot be an outright embargo, it has to be balanced against the size of the deferral - not quite sure how, but maybe escrow the deferred wages somehow
