Unfortunately finishing the season no longer appears to be an option. Expunging the season looks the likely outcome. If that happens Notts claims are valid. Had we finished bottom and Yeovil 23rd then it would be the same for them. I think everyone would rather see play offs of some sort …everyone except Barrow possibly.

I hope our owners' ruthless streak comes out and they strongly make our case and not get sucked into this sentimental nonsense that Barrow were somehow robbed of their league status. They were not, they were voted out for the same reason all of the other clubs were, because they were consistently rubbish over more than one season and they have been rubbish ever since, apart from a two month spurt last Autumn. Clubs that avoid relegation with great escapes can go on that kind of run, doesn't mean they deserve a place in the next level without playing a full season to its' conclusion.

Barrow were only the 10th best NL side in the last two months. Let that sink in, 10th best! Not even play-off worthy. They were bottling it big time. They absolutely should not be promoted.

That’s based on the EFL wanting a return to 72 clubs, and the fact that Barrow have clearly been the best side so far this season, whatever may have happened in the remaining 9ish games.

The bigger situation is that we’ve got to hope as many clubs as possible survive, and that Notts will be in a great position to get back to the EFL on the basis of a full season, and in front of paying fans.
With the New owners and a full season in 2021 (it's likely to be jan/feb to Nov in 2021 and 2022 - because of covid and the World Cup) - there is every chance Notts will go up in both seasons and be in L1 the season after - that would have been unlikely if Bury had gone before the AGM, Notts had been reprieved and the old owner had not sold up. So it could be a case of all's well that ends well...

I see you're still saying 10th best when they had played 6 games in that table and some above them had played 7....

The previous owner could not carry on, bills and wages were not being paid, his businesses were going bust, he had to sell regardless or the club would have gone altogether. I do agree we have had a bit of a reboot but there’s nothing to say we wouldn’t have done that with the new owners in L2, although they pro would have had to pay more for the privilege.

    That is your opinion.

Mine is that they should. Nothing to do with 50 years ago. Based on being the best team in the league over the season that could be played but was ended by a disease that has taken many thousands of lives and possibly businesses.

They were the best team for a couple of months that's been and gone, they are back to being nothing now. they were relegation candidates at the start of the season and were sinking like a stone since Xmas. They are not fit to grace the football league, the ground is not fit for purpose, their support is pitiful.
Get Notts back in. Proper football club with a proper stadium and decent fan base. The FL must make the correct decision.

What is all this “proper club” nonsense every club is a proper club who have fans who care just because they don’t have many doesn’t make them tinpot.

You need to understand if they void the season we aren’t going up and Barrow might not either they could keep it as it is.

I just hope our owners don't share your defeatist attitude. We are Notts County for Christ's sake. Stand proud, erect and tall, don't let some joke club and this joke league get in our way of success. Fight for our rightful place. Winning mentality is what had before lockdown, don't lose sight of that, be ruthless, take no prisoners. World domination. County are back, we are going up, say we are going up, by hook or by crook. F*%( Barrow.
