Football won't and indeed shouldn't be back any time in the foreseeable future, the same goes for anything else that would require social distancing rules to be relaxed in order for it to work. The effects of this could well be felt for years, rather than months because the return to anything remotely normal will need to be extremely gradual when the time is right.

It's going to be a tough and horrible decision for those who run the country to make as to when things can even begin to start back again because the reality is that this virus is going nowhere, but at the same time keeping entire counties shut down forever just isn't sustainable. So, a balance will need to be found somewhere along the line but it's far too soon to be able to start making moves to get football and other businesses back on track, because the risk that would pose to people's lives is just too high.
