So if its a stupid question, why is it still on the table?

    Condescending squadron leader
I genuinely have no idea what you’re talking about.
We disagreed about how the season should be concluded...fair enough.
Then you started on about ‘intellectuals’, ‘mad mullahs’, Kim Jong Un and ‘would I put my family at risk for a game of football’?

I haven’t a clue why you mentioned any of that unless it was to be deliberately contentious or antagonistic and I’ve no idea what ‘condescending squadron leader’ is meant to imply either. Suggest we stay on topic.

You’re probably right...I can read big numbers after all. .
You still haven’t really responded to why abandonment is a better option than basing the outcome of the season on the (now let me get this right) 444/552 matches that have been completed. (Can I have a tick for that please, Sir?)
Do you not think there may be additional implications from those who have paid a considerable amount of money to watch matches which will, under your plan, now be rendered meaningless?

Apparently, the EFL are saying that the season must be completed by July 31st. If so, then playing matches would have to start at the beginning of June, which means that the players need to be back training ASAP.

I can't see those dates being met.

Does this all sound a bit desperate to anyone?

    It does indeed.
How can the EFL say anything until they have the full co operation of the clubs and the PFA?
All takes is one club to disagree and agian, you have stalemate.
The players themselves won't be keen. Rooney himself has been scathing over delay in halting play/wages/playing to soon.
    He won't be alone.

Thats not how the league works though, one club disagreeing isn't a problem under the constitution its a set majority voting for a change that counts. Of course there could be a legal challenge if a club has the wherewithal to fund the lawyers.

FIFA has floated the idea of a yellow card for spitting, at least for the duration of the crisis.

I would suggest games could end pretty quickly then as teams are reduced to 7 a side with reds for 2 yellows

    Not an unreasonable assumption.

Nobody likes their football more than me . But I find hard that it's even being discussed and find it an insult to the people have lost their lives But you can get your lives they will play the TV and betting industries will see to that My hope is that some players refuse to play
