Who honestly gives that much of a **** about this? Cummins won’t be sacked and won’t resign. It will all be forgotten in time and the media will have something else to get there teeth in to.. though they could report on themselves not giving a **** about social distancing.
Most adults will think Cummins is a plonker and shouldn’t have done what he did. Will it really drive people to stick 2 fingers up to lock down? The evidence of the last week or so suggests not. So reporters like Kuntsberg and Pisston need to find something else to bore people with. Maybe they could start with giving us an update on when a footballer tests positive for Covid, oh wait.
The media during this have been very unimaginative and in many cases counter productive.

The press certainly don't seem to want to let Cummings misdemeanors go tho, do they? I wonder why???

I suppose if you find it quite acceptable for the Prime Minister and his cabinet to openly lie to you, you wouldn't give much of a **** at all.

Well, if you're being sacked for 'breaking the law', is that not then a punishment that is in effect 'enforcing the law', no?

It makes a damn sight more sense than only people who are responsible for setting rules/laws being sacked for breaking them and everyone else is seemingly exempt, (BFP Clause).

It's because the higher up the political ladder you climb, the greater the responsibility you take on and the greater the need to obey the rules. These people in top government positions are telling others what they can do and what they can't do, so they have a moral responsibility to lead by example and not expect a separate set of rules simply because they are the elite (I hate that word).

They all lie though. Politicians and media alike. It wasn’t that long ago that folk like you were claiming that the media were making up lies about Corbyn, and now those same media outlets are all of a sudden reporting the truth about various Tory ministers, including the PM. Strange that Elite.

"Folk like me"? I don't recall ever complaining that the media were lying about Corbyn. In fact, I've often said that the piss weak opposition he provided is one of the main reasons we have this bunch of ''see you next tuesdays' running (ruining) the country. I don't doubt that many politicians on all sides are liars, but when you have a proven serial liar in the top position surely that has to be a cause for concern?
