Some don't feel pain IF the hook is in certain parts of the mouth. The other fish DO feel pain. More so if they actually swallow the hook. IMO even those who don't feel the hook WILL feel fear and their natural reaction will be to "fight".
Well be as they only have a 3second memory span they are not going to remember I've caught the same fish again in under an hour many times Agree about hook in the throat but that's just had angling
