Yeah the point being that Scottish people haven't been bought and sold as slaves for hundreds of years and we're not treated as second class citizens in our own country today. I think if you were searched by the police on a weekly basis or people crossed the road to avoid you purely because of the colour of your skin you may have an issue with that. And pulling out the 'Asian friend' card and making out you know what he would think about the situation is patronising in the extreme.
