I obviously only ask because I had a lot of input
And did you get the number of letters the wrong way round in number 2
(if I suggest you got it wrong I am sure that you will not get purple faced, throw the dummy out and call me a prick &#128514

No number 2 is reight nos of letters wise but it could be a bit vague so I will try to change it if you give me a mo.
I reckon that and no 17 to get.

    2. Peevish pillock! (5,4)

    17. In the style of...No direction! (Girl's name). (4,5)

I object as Wrinkly is clearly in violation of the C.U.N.T. (Cryptic Unilateral North-Atlantic Treaty) whereby those of us to the West should have had equal rights to gain points as those in the East. Notwithstanding of course the fact that I looked at these and hadn't got a clue

You are quite right Cam. Being in the right place at the right time, and having nowt better to do, was more to do with my promotion winning performance than my massive intellect. Nevertheless I will take the win and contest any "margin for error" appeal

Yep I did think of that Camiller when i first put the quiz out but i put it out at a time when I thought the yanks may see it. My fault for not telling people to hold back. They are too enthusiastic!

    Anyway still 2 to get

    Number 2 is changes now:

2.Returns dram? Yes! Then finishes sangria, lager, schnapps, barleywine! (5,4)

I think 17 is still doable but is a bit of a stinker. I will try to rethink..

I did think that it would be honourable to hold back a bit but you gave me a bit of a build up and I felt obliged to live up to it. I did hold off a couple. I checked when I had my old geezers, middle of the night, comfort break and the colonists weren't involved so I answered one - and another early on
