I think their fans also have a dim view of their owners SISU which probably isn't helping

What would you prefer efl to do

Kick Coventry out for not having a stadium and crown Rotherham champions of league 1 and oxford runners up and let posh play in play offs.

Or ignore it come second and posh get f all

I went to highfield rd 2/3 times to see the Millers usually with some Cov fans that I knew from working down there once.
One of the closest pubs to the ground was one made famous in the 2 Tone / ska music era; in particular the Specials but also the Selector, Bad Manners etc all played there regularly
Fascinating to go inside as there were photos, memorabilia and autographs.

Highfield rd was a great ground and more than big enough for them so I can only think they moved to sell the freehold for housing or a supermarket. Be careful what you wish for.

You have a good memory for an old un Archie.
    64/65 season, December 64.
John Galley did indeed score his debut hat trick. Albert Bennett and Butler scored the other two.
Only time I went to Highfield Road.

Also John Galley left the Millers for Bristol City, on his debut he again scored a hatrick.
