Neilson, Forrest and McCulloch out.
Daly, Dillon and Flood in.
If rumours are true about Asghar
leaving ( not that I believe it ) Levein in for him
Don’t see need to get rid of Forrest or McCulloch unless they want to go. Also think we need to ignore rumours/speculation on Asghar until we know more. I am more hoping he has a list of potential replacements ready to go. Think they will look for someone who will fit the overall “United way” bringing on youth etc. In that respect not sure Tommy Wright fits bill. Nor sure ex United players have enough experience. Gary Holt might be a possibilty. Other than that, maybe a name from outside we wouldn’t know.
Tommy Wright getting some negative comments on here, each to their own but successive top 6 finishes speak for them self.
I also cant remember them playing negative football, they've always had a few big hard chunts but that always helped them, f uck me that had our number the year they won the scottish cup.
Bookies have installed Wright as favourite, with Derek Adams, Stuart McCall, Lee McCulloch, John Collins, Darren Fletcher and Gary Holt also in the running according to The Herald. Not exactly inspired by that list.
The morning after...
Still leaning towards Tommy Wright.
Would also like to see Big Jon Daly involved. Great lad, knows the club and has great passion.
After the last few years and this latest left field kick in the nuts, we desperately need stability, someone with a bit of gravitas and authority and crucially someone who knows his way round this league and get us established securely back where we all want to be. There is only one candidate frankly that fits that criteria right now and that is Tommy Wright.
Even better he is Clubless so no compo and available immediately.
If we need a new manager and backroom staff then Tommy Wright makes more sense than he did before. Couldn't see him coming in if he was not able to bring his own people in. Agree with the above I'd like to see Daly back at a club as a coach. Wright and Daly with 1 other coach isnt a massive downgrade on what we have imo.
