I also cant remember them playing negative football, they've always had a few big hard chunts but that always helped them, f uck me that had our number the year they won the scottish cup.
They had our number because Jackie had no plan B and played the same style week in week out. I seen a fair bit of St Johnstone over the past few years through my job and believe me mate if you thought Neilson style of football was dire you ain’t seen nothing yet. I have also have a couple of mates who are saints fans and they Have been wanting rid of him for a while. Also I dnt see wright focusing on youth the corner stone of our new foundations.

Have seen this elsewhere regarding Wright and youth development. Was along the lines of 'if we want our youth system to be forgotten about, Wright's our man'.

was that not because wright has very little budget and done the best he could with what he had? for me personally we need to make sure we dont come straight back down, need to get established and then move on from there.

    Don't know mate.

Wrights record speaks for itself. But week after week, despite winning more than we lose, this board used to go into meltdown because of our turgid style of play under Robbie. This is only going to be echod with Wright at the helm imo. Winning gets frustrating when the football is ****e.

That’s where I’m at. Pound for pound, Tommy Wright has been the best manager in the SPL by a country mile for the duration of his tenure. For his budget, size of crowds etc what he did in Perth was miraculous. There was no Accies style ‘10th is best’ approach. He won them a trophy, got them into Europe ump**** times and were pretty well top 6 every season. How on Earth he was never picked up by even an English Championship Club is beyond me. I think last season was possibly even his best yet - despite budgetary cuts, the imposition of a CEO above his head, loss of players, etc etc, he galvanised them from looking like relegation in November to unbelievably finishing top 6. Again.

He is exactly what we need right now and for at least the next couple of seasons as we find our feet again.

see really though with the players RN had at his disposal we should have been better against yer Alloas and Arbroaths, no disrespect to them of course but we shouldnt have seen them in our road. im not bothered about flair in the prem, i'd be happy to have a go and then defend to keep our place in the league, its Wright for me mate

    Tommy Wright currently 2/1 favourite.
Craig Levein 5/1 second in betting along with Derek Adams on same odds.

I agree it's an odd one that folk are suddenly happy just to look at results when before that wasn't good enough.

In my experience this is one area the bookies very rarely get it right...
