When or why would Ogren have heard about the texts before now though? Let's face it, he probably hadn't even heard of Malky Mackay until Asghar put his name forward.

Do you honestly think that Asghar would ask the SFA to speak to Mackay then tell Ogren about his previous behaviour?.If that was the case Tony will be packing his bags before the new manager is appointed.

No idea mate, but fair point. Who knows how involved Ogren is at the 'sourcing of candidates' stage though.

FWIW that's 2 letters of concern from posters of EF been sent to both Ogren & Asghar today. I'll be surprised if he's appointed now tbh. They owners simply cannot make an appointment that's going to cause such a division in the support.

Mackay now odds on 4/5 FAV with Skybet, evens FAV with Bet Victor,6/5 FAV with Paddy Power and 5/4 FAV with Willie Hills.

If the letters of concern touch a nerve at Tannadice the 2nd FAV on all sites is Lee McCulloch.

I think the letters of concern may open up the bigger picture. One look at social media and I reckon Mr. Ogren will have second thoughts. Not concerned about the 2nd favourite. McCulloch has zero credentials whatsoever to be the next Dundee Utd manager other then a spell as assistant.

As long as Lee's not fussed about bouncing on falsies he's a good 2nd favourite
