We are way to slow releasing our front men. Other than Johnstone hoofing 50/50's up field or out of touch neither Sawyers or Livermore have the confidence to pick a forward pass so I would actually prefer one of the veterans like Brunt or Barry who can ping a decent forward ball and can take decent corner . We have an abundance of pacey wingers. Play Robinson as CF , Brunt or Barry as captain as Livermore is not urging them on as a captain should do.
    4 3 3 formation
    Johnstone
    Furlong
    Gibbs
    Ajayi
    Hegazi
    Brunt or Barry
    Sawyers
    Krovinovic
    Pereira
    Robinson
    Grosicki
Also introduce Diagana and Edwards for the last 20.

Imo we are so slow at getting the ball out to the wingers they are taking on defenders who are 'set' and from a standing start. And that isn't ideal.

    For me

    Usual first 5

Krov in for Livermore and I'd be tempted to try Harper for Sawyers. Pereira plays then it's perm any 3 from half a dozen. And yes I would have Tulloch on the bench.

Good call! I would rather have Bartley to Hegazi as looks more solid although yes there can be errors too!

So many players to choose from for Slaven and so easy to change it all around, but will it make a difference.
We need to draw teams out to make some space and then hit them. So far we have been at half speed with the opposition all perfectly in place for our attacks. We need players on the pitch who really want it. I notice that the 3 teams around us all play the day before us and so could lessen the gap and hence put more pressure on our performance.

Interesting combinations and opinions. In answer to queries on my selection... I do see Hegazi as a better option than Bartley. Essentially I consider the former has more positional sense and does not look to deflect attention / apportion blame when errors occur.
Indeed Philips has not impressed, but on balance, I put him in conscious of his experience and willingness to shoot.
We’re now under pressure to win this one

Risky playing Philips again Prando as the pressure was on against Blues. What if he’s crap again? He’s had far more bad games than good games! Brentford have on paper an easier run in and if they climb above us - I really think it’s curtains!!

As Sheffield Wednesday proved today - they won’t be a push over so if we play crap as we did in the last two games - there’s little chance we will get three points!!

If we blow automatic - who takes the wrap? Our biggest mistake was not replacing a lethal goal scorer like Gayle in my opinion - the three we have are not fit to lace his boots!

I also think Krov must absolutely must return! Livermore like Philips has more off games than good games! Sawyers is looking half the player he was when he first came into the team!

If Brentford win as expected at Reading - we need to start praying!

Bartley in for Hegazi? Really? Not sure about the red wine Al' but I think you definitely need to leave the sherry alone for a while 😊 .

That’s a sober call. Bartley looks more solid than Hegazi but yes prone to errors. The Brentford goal was partly due to Hegazi - too slow and FFS - who would let a striker go goal side of you!! How many of our side are Premier League players? Think apart from 3 at most - we are not good enough and that includes Johnstone who is dismal compared to Foster!

Our players look knackered compared to other teams so asks the question - what the f uck have they been doing during lock down!! If Brentford win on Tuesday as expected we need the right selection and a must three points on Weds!

Considering how slow every player from every team has looked since the restart can you imagine how slow brunt and Barry would be ?
