PW, I agree that's a simple enough formula but we need the odd breakaway score so as to split the pack. This current mini league has barely nothing between it from top to bottom. That's why we need to spice things up. Thanks for the idea, anyone's welcome to suggest something that may be good to use.

If we picked five matches each week and depending how brave you are thats upto 15 points. plenty of scope for breakaways.

Fair point, however, if all the top teams are at home you'd have to be bloody brave to pick an away win .

The problem at the moment is with the limited number of fixtures and the simple win pick formula e.g. nearly everyone will pick Leeds, WBA, Brentford. That goes away if you either (a) have a bigger pool of fixtures for the organiser to list and don't choose the easy ones or (b) make people predict the score.

One point I would note. The pick 5 from 12 formula will break down if/when games get postponed. I'd recommend a formula where everyone has to predict on the same games then everyone is impacted the same with any postponements.
