Unfortunately if sport coaches have *** with 16/17yo it’s not currently illegal.

So, someone says in a post (and subsequently apologised so let's not go there again) that he was pissed off that child victims of adult abusers didn't speak out at the time of their abuse, and you are just annoyed that someone wrongly used the wrong term when challenging the poster?

You took sufficient interest and care to suggest that bmy college (!) was doing our kids a disservice. I responded my countering that opinion with my own. I did not make any enquiry, nor show the slightest interest in your own contribution to young people, yet you gave it to me. I'm still not interested.

MT suggested (and apologised so fair enough) that victims of child abuse were at fault for not reporting their abuser. I must have missed it and I must say I skimmed much of it but where has Wan suggested anything like similar that I should show outrage at?

I apologised because it seems some read totally different to what I meant, I did not say they were at fault or blame then in any way and that’s all I’m saying on the matter because some of you won’t be happy unless you find out I’ve threw myself of a cliff (that won’t happen)

One thing that’s came out of this is certain poster that seem to try and hunt others down but conveniently don’t notice certain posts that have been mentioned on here.

I think given the dreadful historical genocides of the Crusades and slavery a few thousand white kids being abused is small beer. I think minority populations that already struggle under the weight of the enormous chips on their shoulders should not be asked to behave decently towards their perceived (imagined?) tormentors.

Well you certainly can be as racist as you want towards white people today without consequence it seems.

Unfortunately, bitter losers who wallow in self-pity and perceived historical injustice and refuse ever to accept any responsibility for their plight have now got the support of white, left-liberal know nothing do-gooders who instead of telling them to "grow the f*ck up" fuel and perpetuate their feelings of injustice. Back to the original topic. One local socialist councilor is proposing Seattle cuts it's police force from 2,200 officers to 400 and uses the money on other 'social' projects. Pre-virus I worked in an area of the city fairly rife with problems related to drugs, homelessness, crime against person and property. The pharmacy/convenience store at the bottom of our building already employed off duty police as security. We have 2 armed police officers in all our board meetings. I have informed my employer that even if/when the virus is thwarted I won't be returning to the office if the police defunding becomes reality.

The board meetings are always entertaining as being a public agency they are open to the public who if they want have 2 minutes at the podium to give comment (hence the need for the armed police presence). There's one elderly guy who is at every meeting, he wears a placard around his neck saying "Jew", gives a Nazi salute to start his speech, proceeds to call everyone who works for the organisation a facist pig and then he invariably gets shut down for abuse. Comedy gold once was when a black lady stood up and was rambling on about racism and how she had contacted our customer service and hadn't received a reply because she assumed Mr Marcus Clarke (our head of CS) was racist. Little does she know that he's black
