A good listen. It certainly answers many questions as to why the death rate was so high from Covid-19. It backs up the argument that we can not and should not compare our death rate with other nations due to the difference in reporting criteria (like I mentioned in a previous post). It also raises the question as to "Why was the reporting done this way?" Unless they wanted to spread fear, there was no need to report this way at all.

Given the multi-organ effect of COVID-19 on the body, survivors may have a variety of long-term effects on their organs.....
As we are still in the throes of the pandemic, and at a relatively early stage of a new disease, it is too early to tell what COVID-19 survivors are likely to experience in a year’s time. Some researchers are concerned, however, that just as with SARS, many people with the new coronavirus will go on to develop post-viral chronic fatigue syndrome.
The uncertainty of the future for COVID-19 survivors is why several long-term cohort studies (that study genetic and environmental factors in large groups over a period of time) have been repurposed to study the physical, mental and socio-economic consequences of the pandemic.

Of 43 patients analysed, 10 had brain disease with delirium or psychosis, 12 had inflammation, and nine had acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (a rare neurological disorder which results in swelling in the brain and spinal cord). Eight had strokes and a further eight had peripheral nerve problems.


So whilst we can't rule out exaggerated numbers of fatalities, this virus could still turn out to have very serious lasting effects on people.

No problem, Cummings is the man leading the country. All Boris has to do is rehearse his lines, shake his fist a lot and look vaguely competent.

Thanks for that CG, there is quite a lot of people now coming forward with excellent analysis, on the data we now have.

But my fear is when the Autumn comes and the dreaded flu hits, are they going to count flu victims as Covid, thus this is how they know there will be a second wave, forcing us into a vaccine that is not properly been tested?

If he has got anything like I had (not after Covid, a different viral illness) there is no way he should be leading us through this.

The Government has announced that the daily fatality figure will be suspended until the issue with PHE is resolved.

I think that's a wise move. What a shambles.

Anyway, another busy week done. Looking forward to a quiet evening with my wife. Have a good evening everyone!
