I agree with the bigger picture - no money - cheap cheap cheap but hold on - you then cast yours eyes to Brentford and Sheffield Utd! What have they spent? How have these teams managed so well with fantastic team spirit and good football? Needs to be questioned!
Villa £140 million Brentford £28 million Sheff Utd £60+ million Albion £18 million Leeds £0. Make of that what you will

Before the season started Mickd ran a post of where we would finish, I'm pretty sure not many of us including myself thought we would be in the top 2 after so many players left at the end of the season, Billic to his credit decided we were going to play a certain style and way to get out of this division it might still work but I'm sure he will have learnt a lot more about his players since the restart than he did before and whatever happens will hopefully address the situation of having some very good technical players, but in this league you actually need something more, we seem to struggle to grind out results which is all we needed to do like most I think it will be a struggle to go up through the play offs but I have pretty much enjoyed this season.

Bielsa then a top manager and we were better than them last year but Gayle and JRod are back in the Prem for a reason! Sheffield Utd spend for the Premier still modest and they are challenging for Europe so again full credit to Wilder. Talent is key but it’s like the Huddersfield kids last night - hunger - desire - wanting it.? These qualities go a long way!

Having watched Leeds fall apart last season - its the same with the Baggies this year I would say - the pressure and nerves have kicked in at the worst possible time, but as many of you said you wherent expecting much above mid table at the start of the season anyway.

Its not over for you yet, Brentford for the fist time this season are now in the box seat - this will bring pressure for them, they.ve also had all the luck going for them since the restart. Stoke wont roll over at this stage of the season [Look at Huddersfield and indeed Barnsley against us the other day] so don't be too shocked if they buckle under the pressure today. Worst comes to the worst youre still in the play offs, and lets face it Brentford wouldn't be, the only threat to you I would think would be Fulham from the other three teams, don't rate either Forest or Cardiff [Both took 4 points from us mind] So still all to play for

Hope you do go up as like us you have been in the top 2 for virtually all of the season..

That is the point. For some inexplicable reason we appeared to lack the desire and hunger that was required. Did the pressure get to them? To my mind it would appear to be the case. It's the only explanation that I can come up with. If you look at the technical abilities of the two teams we would probably come out on top in most positions but as for desire, we didn't come close. As I have said before, we played like a mid-table side who had little to play for in an end of season game.

Dare to dream Leicesterbaggie, Pressures on Brentford today - first time all season, lets see how they respond now!

Honest and factual post. Bilic was given a few seasons to get us up. He even said Lets see where this season takes us.
NONE OF US EXPECTED US TO BE IN THIS POSITION.
I even wondered if we would be relegated as there were a lot of changes.

    .

Don’t agree and we have almost thrown it away so let’s make no mistakes on Wednesday. Same team against Blackburn for me except Hegazi and Grady in for Bartley and Grosicki
