Even Boris and Donald are fully signed up members of the wear a mask brigade, after initially trying to tell us that Covid was no big deal.

Boris caught the bug and nearly died, and Donald told us it was only a bit of a cold. He said that anyone who wore a mask was making a political statement about him. Now, with cases in the US sky high, he is telling us to wear one to be patriotic. He has actually called off one of his major rallies in Florida because of the high number of cases there. Another leader, Bolsonaro, told us that it was "the sniffles" and practiced zero social distancing or any other precaution. then he caught it. Just look at the shocking number of cases in Brazil now.

The number of Covid deniers is now limited to people who believe it is a worldwide plot to control the masses. Some people STILL want to go down the herd immunity route. This would mean that around 50 million Brits would have to get the bug, and hope that this would make them immune in future. If 50 million actually contracted Covid, then at least 500,000 would die, and there would be no way on earth the NHS could cope.

Good to hear from you map.
Flaky, fear inducing statistics, typical of the Lib Dems spread sheet and manifesto. Not buying into your bull-**** 59er. The next big news story will be Blow Job never had COVID-19. Trust me, I'm a socialist.

Which statistics don't you accept BT?

For herd immunity to work then 80% of the population (around 52 million people) would have to catch Covid. So the death rate would be horrendous. How could the NHS cope with this?

And you may have been a socialist at one time, but your current views on stuff clearly indicate that you are anything but a socialist at the moment. Your views on how to handle Covid are much more extreme than Donald's current position, and probably on a par with Bolsonara of Brazil.

I'm not having a go here, you are entitled to your views, but they appear to me to be very right wing.

Well said sinkov, nobody really knows what the hell is going on because, as usual, they only tell you what they want you to know.
This doesn't just apply in this country though because it is happening worldwide with lots of different opinions, conspiracy theories, coercion and anything else which fits the bill.

Social distancing works fine, most people were practising it before the government locked us down, the peak had passed and the numbers were falling before the lockdown could have had any effect. We've gone from thousands popping their clogs a week to a situation where 30/40 cases per 100,000 is now talked about as a catastrophe, requiring more lockdown, god knows why. And all this was done with sensible social-distancing and without the requirement to wear muzzles in shops.

It's only a number and it is attitude of mind that matters as long as you can stay reasonably fit and healthy.

I hope to stay here forever, I have to desire at all to return to England or indeed Europe.
My biggest problem at the moment is, after moving here to Zhengzhou I have to re-apply for my work permit, residence permit and visa, but I have until Sept. 15th to sort that out.
