One of the greatest. Never flash, never 10 notes where one would do. Brilliant and a fine voice to go with it. Still play and love the real Fleetwood Mac. Such a shame his mental health stunted his career so much.

Died today aged 73. True legend of my youth. RIP great man.

I went through a period being into the Splinter. RIP
Always the greatest for me. I was at school when I first heard him on John Mayall’s Hard Road and I was fortunate enough to see him with the original Fleetwood Mac. I don’t think I will ever tire of listening to him. The most knowledgable and keen advocate of Greeny that I have known was our very own WBA53. So sad to hear this news. Thank you Peter Green.
Was just about to post, my twin brother's just texted me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GPR848mhIs

“Man of the world” is one of my all time favourite records and “Albatross” is one of the greatest and most recognised instrumental tracks of all time.
He was at the “top” for just three years 67-70 but the sign of quality is when music is as fresh and fantastic 50-300 years after the moment it was conceived and some of his stuff falls comfortably into that bracket.
A legend without question and hopefully an eternity resting in peace rather than beset by demons.
I make no excuses for posting just one more number in honour to Greeny. When I Need Your Love So Bad came out I remember thinking how the strings really spoiled it. It was only later that I came upon this superior version. Thanks yet again
