Give it time, it's a certainty.

Think the frustrations were due to being the big fish in the championship, where for the most part performances were deserving of criticism regardless of the results.

Agree that this year especially, getting enough points is the main objective however earned.
Consolidate first as this will boost the confidence and attract better quality.

We all want Utd back in top 6 and challenging for trophies, we all want Utd playing in a style that pleases our eye, but right now we have to accept we are taking the first steps on that path.
Regardless of performance or results, whilst taking these early steps the team need full backing from fans.
Any criticism should only surface when we've earned the right to demand performances.
Ogren's investment has given us the chance to play in Premier, let's hope that Mellon makes sure the players earn the right to stay.

Before last season started 'all that mattered' was promotion. Well, everyone seen that attitude changed for some folk as the season progressed...

Guys have the right to critisice when the product on the park is not of the standard that it should be, given the players and resources that were made available to the manager at the time. This was a constant last season from January onwards.

100% agree with all of the above. The two situations are not comparable. I was completely in the camp that we should have skooshed the championship AND entertained the fans but of course this season is completely different. Survival IS all that matters, however I have serious doubts that will happen without strengthening the squad. Basically if Shankland gets injured, we're f@cked. That's too much reliance and pressure on one player.

As we know from recent experience bringing new signings in doesn't always bring the intended improvement. I expect to see Appere, Cammy Smith, Glass and Pawlett making much more of a contribution this season both in creating and scoring goals. Optimistic that MM will get the best out of them.

I dont imagine for a second that we're signing this guy Bolton with a view to him sitting on the bench, so someone is going to have to make way for him. Depends where the manager sees his best position I guess, but it would seem Smith or McMullan will be playing second fiddle this season.
