I remember saying the lad should have had a chance in goals for the Dons. I remember being irate at Joe Lewis when Motherwell knocked us out the league cup after he had a terrible performance and thought DR should have been given an opportunity as no player should be excused. I think he played 2 or 3 games on the trot for the first team and again if my memory is correct he wasn’t on a losing side.
Danny Rodgers was unfortunate with regard to first team opportunities at Aberdeen. The manager obviously didn’t trust him. He has kept an ageing goalkeeper as back up rather than give Rodgers that position.
