I think the Covid pandemic saved him. He was struggling last season and our football went from a bad enough watch to nearly impossible to watch. He has been given a lifeline so he will have to make the most of it as I am sure our new board won’t quite be as forgiving as the old one. We as a club are looking for improvement on and off the field....McInnes will be doing well to survive the season ahead.
In saying that and I genuinely mean this....I hope he proves me wrong and implements this so called new brand of exciting football our chairman spoke of. McInnes is on a hiding to nothing as if he doesn’t implement this style then our chairman will look a right chump by not axing him.
I see De Boer got the punt at Atlanta for his poor performances...since we have a strong Atlanta link through our board I wouldn’t expect Del to receive special preferential treatment. He will be axed if he doesn’t produce.

The fact he’s still on the board makes me feel ill. Why Cormack wants that dick hanging about the place I’ll never know.

We as a club and a support will suffer for years - maybe forever - because of indefensible decisions made by that fud.

I’m with RST on this one though - we can’t afford to sack DM, so he’s safe & sound - unless we did a Hearts - which I can’t see happening.

Cosgrove’s injury is a ready made excuse for DM though so you’ll be hearing that one trotted out soon enough.

A good victory for Del today could bring him back on into the limelight as I am sure the match will be getting viewed by quite a few English football followers today. On that respect...good luck Derek and if you need a help moving down to a new club in England then I am sure a few of your fan club members on here will be more than willing to offer a hand.
