Good morning all.

There is lots going on at the moment. McCrorie coming in as a loan, with option to buy at the end of the season. Derek likes the flexibility that he gives, thus allowing 2 or 3 to leave.

Too much going on to be sure what will materialise, but it appears that the international striker is still very much on the radar, although he has hefty demands at present. something will crack there, given his lack of first team football to date this season. There is still a keen interest in Ross Stewart...................don't discount both coming in, with several departures.

Big question marks over future of McGeouch, Devlin, Logan, Bryson, McKenna, Hedges, Cosgrove amongst a few other younger boys.

Expect an unexpected starter up front on Thursday night.

Mixed feelings on this one. Any dealings with hunnery make me queasy, but better players coming in than going out I guess.

Young lad, offers flexibility which was my initial thought on why DM would be interested. I’m willing to give him a chance. At least this time there’s an agreed option to buy unlike Christie. If he does as well as Christie I’ll be happy enough.

Re the other rumours. I like Ross Stewart, would be happy to see him here. The international striker is intriguing - not sure about Brophy though if it is him. Never been that impressed. I’m wondering if the thumb might be in the frame. Mixed feelings there too. Best Scottish striker in the league, but an absolute heid the ba. Not sure he’d be worth the risk.

Re other rumours, I find it very hard to believe any of the players would have the neck to contest a fine after all this - I’m putting that down as Twitter pish.

That said I’d happily let Devlin and Bryson go - offer very little & we need to free up squad space. Logan can go too, good servant but past his sell by date. Hedges can go just because of that ridiculous hair band poovery against the Hun. Simply disgusting.

McGeouch I’d rather see stay and get a chance - but if the old offer we can’t refuse came in then fine.

McKenna we need to cash in if at all possible. Same with Cosgrove.

Good to see there is activity behind the scenes though as we definitely need to freshen up the squad and try and put recent events (& the last 2 seasons turgid fitba) behind us.

This all sounds like utter chaos, to add to the total disaster of a start we've already had to the season.

Of course we'll offload McKenna and Cosgrove if we get semi decent bids for them - that's a no-brainer. Cutting our losses with Devlin and Bryson would be a good idea, both of them are hopeless on the very rare occassions they're ever fit. Hedges wears a headband and Logan is probably past his best... McGeouch hasn't really had much of a crack at it.

Brophy would be a decent signing, but not sure about the boy Stewart.

Please tell me it isn't Ash Taylor up front on Thursday... I also don't know why you'd play Ferguson up front (as the rumour suggests) when you have McGinn or McLennan who actually have played up top in the past.

McCrorie makes no sense to me whatsoever as we've got millions of defensive midfielders already and reasonable cover at the back. The main areas we need to strengthen are a left back and centre forward. If however we're shipping out a load of players mentioned above, it makes a bit more sense. I'd be slightly concerned at such a big squad turnover in what seems to be a fairly out of the blue decision.

I’ve no problem with the updates but never understand the cryptic nature of them. Just state the striker surprise, if it happens well done, if it doesn’t plans change. I’ve seen a wealth of these dons insiders who all do the same thing. Never understand it personally but appreciate fans like the drama and intrigue.

Fair enough, but maybe the club want to keep it quiet to avoid alerting other clubs that we’re after the guy?

Maybe the player wants to keep it quiet because his current employer isn’t in the loop just yet?

Could be perfectly good & logical reasons not to release the name just now - rather than just being cryptic for the sake of it...

MSM is usually pretty spot on. I take his updates as gospel. Not everything comes off of course - but he’s usually on the money.

See what you mean about Thursdays striker, but again, do we want to be tipping off the farmers about our team setup 3 days ahead of the game?

It’s gonna be a big enough struggle as it is without giving away team & tactics...
