Totalitarianism is a form of government that attempts to assert total control over the lives of its citizens. It is characterized by strong central rule that attempts to control and direct all aspects of individual life through coercion and repression.

And you worry about masks that don't work just do your research

A pandemic? - 0.49% tested positive so far so 99.5% got a test and did not have C-19 deaths ? 0.063% of the population

The economy? estimated to be @ least minus 13% never mind health, education ,employment etc etc

Of course it is easier to fool people than it is getting people to admit they have been fooled

And why would anybody want to go through the length of doing this? What do they get out of it?

Masks are the tip of the iceberg. Yes there are people who take the piss but there are genuine individuals who can not wear masks - those with breathing difficulties and those who are autistic.

So when an autistic person or someone with breathing difficulties is in a shop and somebody tuts - perhaps they are one of those who supported all those crazy black lives matter demonstrations or other huge social gatherings which is the serious problem and still is.

Black Lives Matter demonstrations - Football Celebrations - Asian Weddings/Funerals - Raves - Parties - Over Occupied Housing/Vehicles - this is the real source of infections and the police should fine every individual over 3,000 for flouting the rules.

In my view masks are very limited protection as the virus can easily get into the eyes. Many who have masks stuff them in filthy pockets or bags which defies the reason of wear. How many times have you been in supermarkets such as Marks and Spencer where young shelf stackers do not wear masks? So if employees don't wear masks why should the public? The whole thing reeks of inconsistency and a complete joke.

95% of the population might jump in a river if Boris tells them to but I will make my own choices. I liked Boris but the government handling of this virus has been dismal! If Boris had the balls to have sacked Cummings and not been so inconsistent and cracked down harder with social gatherings more people would take issues seriously.

Lastly - there are far more countries safer than the UK and this self quarantine is in place to boost our economy - that's obvious! Those coming into the country who have to self isolate - do you really think many will do this?

We can't even police or control those coming over the channel and over 5,000 have entered! Boris should have the balls and get them all dumped back in France. I don't even feel sorry for those who don't make the crossing - coming across on a dinghie is dangerous and illegal so you take your chances. Bit like trying to rob a USA bank - you might get away with a bag full of cash or you might get peppered full of gun shots. You take your chances.

I don’t disagree with any of your points AL but this is the nub of the problem for me........this cretin I encountered in the petrol station was not only not wearing a mask but he also blatantly ignored the arrowing system and sauntered right past me.

This is either ignorance or arrogance.

I should make it clear that I am of the belief that the whole mask thing is pretty pointless and I have no problem sharing a distanced space with anybody as I’ve generally found it easy to stay at a metres distance at least.

But you’ve got no f king chance as an individual when some t w a t like I faced simply turns and invades your space like he did........not a hope of keeping the distance unless I’d dived into the Mint Imperials and Mars Bar display!

No doubt if I’d called him out on it I would’ve quickly been surrounded by the police and arrested under the “suspected hate crime” headline.

I’ve been to a garden centre for lunch today.

Wear a mask to visit the flowers and don’t need one in the cafe whilst ordering food.

Then the waitress leans over us with the tray full of food ( no mask ) because we weren’t allowed to take things from the tray, the tray had to be placed on the table.

You just couldn’t make up this nonsense........there’s no joined up thinking at all.

    Solution.

Spend billions on building up health and respiratory services and the nurses required so that we can cope with large spikes and let 99.97% of the population get back to as normal a life as THEY want to have.

Other than a vaccine this is the only way forward.

Could not agree more with what you say Mick! We went to a restaurant the other day and the waitrose and the server had a mask but pulled down and not covering her face - idiot!

I absolutely hate anyway invading my space and I would have called this person out - I can't help myself as I have a short fuse! Sadly, the race card is being used too often now which is why the Police are afraid to do much. My son came back in a taxi at 1am a few weeks ago and wanted to stop at MacDonald drive through so asked the Asian driver and even bought him a burger. Nearing our house my son dropped a tiny bit of Fanta on the floor ( accident ) and the Asian driver told him the taxi would now have to go out of service and he wanted an extra £60. My son obviously said he didn't have the money so the guy said he would come to the house until he was paid - my son warned him against it!

I had a bad night due to severe pains and drank over a bottle of wine and awoke from the sofa due to the heavy banging on my door. The driver was aggressive and I thought it was sick and when I heard it was a tiny bit of Fanta, I called him every name under the sun to be told he would call the cops. I said do it and you have five seconds to get off my drive or I will personally knock your head off ( i was pissed and angry ) and he ran. Complete t osser.

The next person who phones our company and says - quote " You do good price " - I will blow a f uckin whistle down the phone! Idiots!

I think the Government has been very clear Dubbag, that's a claim that opposition parties have been using to score political points since Covid began (which stinks in my opinion) The Government gave the date and said you have to wear a mask when entering shops. Its even written on the front door! How clear do you have to get?

The usual motives - several individuals will earn millions from vaccine & they are government employees . power, panic nothing noble & remember no politician or civil servant will suffer any financial hardship - s the saying goes "they have no skin in the game".

Bill Gates Fauci - check out their pursuit of law that makes vaccine companies immune from prosecution

And the numbers are nowhere near pandemic in cases or deaths something you did not address

It’s ironic that we have to wear a mask, not to protect ourselves, but to protect the ignorant tw@s that don’t.

Masks are to stop the wearer’s own germs getting airborne and offer little protection to the wearer from others.
