Has this been reported anywhere? My guess is we actually don’t know. Which begs the question, why hasn’t anybody official monitored and investigated the effects of these gatherings? Hand in cock the other day said wearing masks isn’t that effective and so the UK won’t apply this to the workforce like they have in France.

Good question! I suppose with the large gatherings people came from all over the country so hard to evaluate. The track and trace system though is a joke - scan this bar code if you wish - write your name in a book if you wish etc!

Now a question for you Regis - why are areas high with infections such as Bradford - Oldham - Luton - Leicester - Kirklees etc etc. Harrogate for example is less than 30 mins from Bradford and there’s next to nothing in terms of infections. Likewise Harpenden near Luton does not have any issues. Please could you explain your thought process?

I know already the point you are trying to make and based on what has been made out in the public domain you’d automatically assume the common factor here being Asian population/communities.
With those areas you’ve highlighted, well what about the other highly populated Asian areas up and down the country? Surely by now all of those would be reporting high number of cases right now. If you put the disproportionate statistic that asians are having it worse, given that we are 5-6 months in to this, you’d think those areas you’ve not included above would be in the critical stages? Something isn’t right. Why isn’t there a spike in cases in East London?

Possibly because some areas are more congested than others! It’s well known Regis in places like Leicester illegal manufacturing has gone on for years with slave labour and there will be zero social distancing. Likewise in places like Bradford it’s beds and mattress manufacturing in third world conditions. Sadly it comes down to demographics and education.

I say education - if you counted the people in say Waitrose and Marks and Spencer’s without masks - it would be far less than your basic cheap supermarkets. Why is that? In this scenario that’s also pointing the finger at many white British!

And that’s what it comes down to education or whether they are being informed, but from the comments on here you’d assume everyone is making it to be down ethnicity?
I wouldn't be surprised if Brum goes into some form of lockdown because of the number of dumb flucks there and I see why Lye is.
I’ve heard a number of chicken factories also having to be shut.. now you can imagine the level of education those workers have to be doing those jobs or whether they’ve even been informed of the current climate.. who knows. From what I know a high proportion of eastern europeans work there.

If the rules aren’t laid down in law then what hope do we have. You don’t see Hand in coco making his daily statements but he goes and appoints a new head for the new PHE.
What’s really funny is, it seems like every other person we all know is capable of making a mask. Something the government have not bothered to award a contract to? Hence no need for them to make this law. Corrupt.

I bet the problem in Birmingham though won't be in the so called " nicer areas " like Solihull, Knowle, Sutton Coldfield etc. Why?

Education again is key to everything. There are more food poisoning cases in places like the Dominican Republic than anywhere in the world - why? Education - to educate locals who live in mud huts/equivalent to wash their hands when working in 4/5 star hotels is not easy when they have been p issing/s hitting in a hole. I know this as I managed a team of F & B Consultants for a travel firm who regularly went out to destinations to train.

So on this basis again, it goes back to areas - not easy to educate immigrants from war torn areas etc to social distance and keep everything spotless including themselves.

Even if people live in the worst town/street in the country people should have pride and respect. Some do but many don't give a flying ****! How many with masks do you see in shops like Waitrose in the so called nicer areas and how many do you see in masks in the so called not so nice areas! There's a huge difference! I went through Bradford a couple of weeks ago and could not believe all the rubbish flying around the streets/around houses - why? Is this the council's fault?

Education or "educated people" can have exceptions though - how many liberal lunatics went to London in the thousands to protest and wreck statues taking their cause backwards! Many of these will be educated liberal lefties ( many from Uni ) who were irresponsible and selfish! These same people who went to London - you can bet your bottom dollar they are all wearing masks now tutting at some poor individual who possibly can't wear a mask with autism!

Problems that exist today are as soon as you challenge something you are automatically called racist which is why the police often go missing. Maybe when a disgusting yob racially abuses Dele Ali at the next football match he won't stamp his feet and think - hold on a minute, I racially abused and mocked a poor Asian man myself due to the Coronavirus so what's the difference!

There are good and bad everywhere but pride, respect and love of your surroundings is everything to an educated person regardless of colour or religion!

Well said Baggieal. That’s exactly my view too.
The only point i’m going to reiterate and what others have said, unless it is made law re masks then you spot fine those not wearing one. If it’s law, then nobody, including those from ethnic minority can complain. Fines should be imposed regardless.

So you would also include those with a physical/mental health issue?
