Their is a culture of fear of speaking out against govt policy......especially in the public employment sector.
A hard up dentist? Would never suggest that.

I know a few medical professionals - nurses, doctors and dentists - they are happy just to comply with the rules being foisted on them. Privately they tell me it's complete nonsense but professionally they have to comply same as the rest of us do at work.

Some things I've been told privately -

The morgue they built to cope with the thousands of deaths expected in this area, even with the controls put in place, was never used.

ICU at Ninewells, one of the busiest hospitals in Scotland, was never stretched with no more than five or six patients TOTAL in there at any one time. That's Covid, trauma, normal population included.

Deaths were being reported as Covid related if they weren't sure what the actual cause was because it was easier to explain to relatives.

The stress applied to NHS staff was not through additional patients, it was having to wear inappropriate and often cumbersome PPE for little or no reason that was stressful.

We all know the majority of deaths were in care homes - they emptied the hospitals, under government instructions, to cope with a non existent influx of Covid patients. In effect decanting potentially infected individuals into contact with the people most vulnerable to complications caused by it. We all know this one of course but I was also told they would transfer 'suspected but not symptomatic' patients to care homes to free up beds without testing them - what the **** for? They will never explain this one. I call that manslaughter.

I went on a bus into the town centre today, I had to wear a face covering but the driver didn't. The driver was behind a perspex screen so is exempt this ridiculous requirement. The perspex screen has a huge gap in it where you stick your hand in to put money into the box, it also has around 30 half inch diameter ventilation holes in it - in effect it's more air than perspex and completely pointless. Look at the perspex screens they have at supermarket checkouts, they're the same. Wearing a mask when you and nobody else on that bus or in that store is infected protects nobody, not you and not your fellow customers. If none of you have it how the **** can you pass it on?

    Social control, simple as that.

    Rant over, thanks for reading.

ETA - we also all know if someone was tested positive, never symptomatic but got hit by a bus and killed that was a Covid death.

    Rant over this time.
