It would be a hugely popular move as far as the supporters are concerned.Oh,unfortunately,I forgot,we don't count.

It's a beautiful football logical pipe dream I'm afraid with this board in charge. We don't seem to even be mentioned in dispatches as looking at any players to come in to the club at present far as I am aware. Where is the replacement for Lennon??? We need someone with pace and crossing ability don't we for our style to work.

Thinking about it and knowing what Trippier thinks of Dyche and Burnley I suspect that we will wait for his contract to run out in 2 years time and sign him on a "free".

for sure - seeing him return would be a Trip - but regardless of what we think, or what manager/board would like - in the end, it's be down to him - and right now, perhaps a return to Burnley would be as far away in his mind as China is to Argentina... .

Trippier was recently quoted as saying the only EPL club he would return to the UK for is Burnley.

I am sure that he would pick us if we decided to bid.Should we push the boat out if Athletico want to offload him?

Personally I would but I am biased,I love the guy.
Latest news is we might try and sign the Bournemouth right back Adam Smith on a budget price transfer fee. Sounds about right for us...

We already have two budget priced not quite good enough right backs, let's sign another one eh.

Do you know sinkov, I quite like Bardsley, but the clock is ticking for him. I've never been Lowton's greatest fan, the top players have him for breakfast.

What a statement of intent it would be from our Board to lighten up these horrible times if we brought back Trippier, but we all know it ain't going to happen.
