You should have persevered; IBS always likes to embroider his tall tales in the manner of Aesop. They guy in his mid sixties who wants to spend more time with his family and grandkids was the clincher for me.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that the games will only be on available on iFollow until ground restrictions are lifted and 50% of fans are allowed in. If fans are to be allowed in October I believe the percentage will start somewhere between 20 & 30%. 50% will probably be next year sometime. Therefore all games may not be shown on iFollow.

No it wasn’t gru. I read it online somewhere. Can’t remember where though.

    Found it. Daily Mail.

Sky Sports pay £119 million a year for exclusive live rights for EFL games and the Carabao Cup but are sympathetic to the plight of clubs who will be denied a considerable proportion of their usual ticket revenue for the foreseeable future.

As a result, the broadcaster will permit clubs to stream all games that were scheduled for live TV coverage without demanding any compensation as long as the majority of fans are excluded from grounds.

The arrangement will be reviewed on a regular basis but is expected to remain in place until the Government permits a 50 per cent occupancy rate at stadiums.

This is likely to be some way off given the initial plan is for a maximum capacity of between 20 and 30 per cent when fans return. This is scheduled for October at the earliest.

Can't wait for the season to start and I think we could clearly accommodate 50 percent capacity to start with.Bring it on.

Problem is if you renew your season ticket and they let people in even tho it’s not safe you’ve spent £390 and due to crooks post if they let 51% in you won’t be able to watch them on ifollow

It’s just too much of a risk and there’s no benefit to renewing

I think every club is waiting to start the ball rolling and then they will all follow.Infectionn rate is coming down and deaths are very small numbers. So it can be done sensibly.

With the current thinking that any Wave 2 peak would probably be Jan/Feb 2021 (drop in temperature = virus lives longer, colder weather = more folk stay indoors = more social gatherings indoors, more "other" respiratory illnesses occurring such as coughs and colds = folk won't isolate as well as at present thinking they've got a cough/cold) then none of that science encourages stuff like attending well populated events (must be emphasised though that thinking changes rapidly). I'm afraid that much as I'm looking forward to seeing some games it would need very careful thought first before I actually made that choice.

I don’t think you should put people in a situation where they have to decide on feeling or keeping safe and waste £390 or more if they buy multiple tickets because the efl or club cut them off on ifollow. Regardless of your or my opinion not everyone will think the same way.

Some will be in vulnerable category and wont go outside of the house never mind go to a football game. Is it really ok to say to people well the zero IQ government said it’s ok to let people back in despite there being no cure so we have to cancel Ifollow.

Also you will get people not following guidelines like in supermarkets.
