"Sweden uncovers 3,700 false positives from COVID-19 test kit"

    https://medicalxpress.com/news/2020-...es-covid-.html

Yet if these notoriously unreliable tests provide just 20 positives out of 100,000 tests in one area, our lunatic government wants to lockdown millions. Strangely I can find no trace of this story on the BBC website, our national broadcaster, not even their 'fact checker' seems interested, maybe they just don't want it known ?

"Nearly 100,000 people in Scotland have faced cancer diagnosis delays because of restrictions on health services during the coronavirus crisis. The percentage of patients waiting more than six weeks for checks on conditions such as bowel and breast cancer rose to 65% at the end of June from 25% at the end of March."

And all Sturgeon does is wibble on about face masks in Scottish schools. She's probably even more dangerous than Boris.

"Earlier this year, scientists suggested that taking blood pressure medication could increase the risk of Covid-19 infection or make the illness more severe. But the opposite seems to be true: blood pressure medication could cut Covid-19 death rates by a third, according to analysis published in Current Atherosclerosis Reports."

Increase the risk, decrease the risk, maybe it depends which way the wind is blowing. I wish these experts would make their minds up, governments are trashing whole economies on the advice of these so-called experts.

All about opinions, sinkov, just like VAR ---experts with different views ---how unusual is that?

"NHS surgeons are working at around 50% of capacity as efforts to restore services are being hindered by procedures meant to protect against coronavirus. Waiting times for operations have soared because of the pandemic, with more than 50,000 people having waited longer than 12 months for treatment compared with more than 1,000 a year ago."

But never mind, just keep wearing that muzzle.

"Engineering firm Rolls-Royce has posted a record pre-tax loss of £5.4 billion amid the collapse of global air travel. Yesterday the company confirmed plans to close factories in Nottinghamshire and Lancashire as part of plans to axe 3,000 jobs in the UK. Meanwhile Gatwick airport has revealed plans to cut 600 jobs."

Not good news is it, I wonder how many Barlickers are going to end up on the dole due to this insanity ?

All very sad and Gatwick reckon that air travel will not get to anywhere near the levels it was until 2025.
I wonder what Greta and her crowd are all thinking now? There are certainly more questions than answers about the whole situation, it's a bloody good job that I am not a worrier ---que sera, sera!

Before today's stage in the Tour de France, the Italian cyclist Matteo Trentin issued a plea to all those intending to stand by the side of the road and watch the Tour go by. 'Please, please, please wear a face mask'.

    Words fail me.
