First really bad result for Micky. I would rather have one of those before the window shuts so if he isn't already aware of the frailties of the current squad. I hope this focus minds, because we could very well take a tanking off Rangers as well, we need reinforcements and we are powder puff up front without Shankland.

If you include Killie pre-season that's 3 goals he has single handedly cost us so far this season. How many more are we going to have to see? He's been decent overall, but f*ck me he can be a liability. Needs to stop blaming his teammates for everything and anything when it goes wrong and start sorting his own brainfarts out.

Listened to MM post match and he mirrors the comments on here, he mentioned 'we need quality' a few times
Let's see how long it takes to get it

100% agree. The tackle on Edouard as well when he was a week late then put him 6 feet in the air was typical Connolly and could have been more costly if it was in our box

These instances could cost us a lot of points so it's now up to MM to pull him aside and tell him to calm the fk down and prove to him he was worth the contract extension.Personally I don't think he was.

I am strangely disconnected from the last 2 results, mainly because i though prior to the season starting, that is what might happen anyway! I just think the results came in the wrong order.

I cannot comment on what happened today as i thankfully missed it, but its hardly surprising that one person appears to be taking the flak for this, and i think everyone saw it coming!

Into the transfer market please MM/TA!

There's several players I would criticise well before Connolly but it might be unpopular here. Seems he gets the blame every time regardless when we have poorer players in front of him.

I don't think folk are blaming him for us losing and as myself and a few other posters have pointed out that on the whole he has done quite well but it's his decision making at times that will cost us dear in the long run, he is rash and erratic at times and when he brainfarts the opposition seem to cash in.

True, but my point is that the focus here has come onto him yet there are several other players who deserve criticism well before him.

(Chick, my reply wasn't meant to be quoting you it was meant as a stand alone post)

Ok I'll be specific and this is just my opinion

    Robson. Good enough.
    Bolton. Good enough.
Neilson, nope, not from what I've seen of the boy so far, looks good going forward but unfortunately not defending.
Harkes, nope, looks out of his depth. He might change my opinion if he gets a creative partner. Unpopular opinion I imagine.
    Butcher, getting found out
    Pawlett, not the answer
Chalmers, not ready, may be ok with better players around him
Appere, can only function as a foil for another striker, ie Shankland
Clark, being asked to do a job he's not suitable for. See Appere.

It's only one bad defeat but the opinion above is based on all the games so far not just today. We need additions.
