    Can someone explain to me how the Scottish Premiership has 12 teams but each team plays 38 games? Each team must play each other at least 3 times right? That makes 33 games. What about the other 5? Confused.

    When they finish playing the 33 games, they split the league in two groups of six. The groups of six play each other once.

    Once the split no team from the top 6 can finish lower than 6. Likewise the bottom six can finish no higher than 7.

    Only in Scotland. Any wonder none of their clubs do anything outside Caledonia any more.
