I think people should just calm down.
It’s one game that we dominated.

Early days but it doesn't bode well, does it? Without a class striker and a super stopper this season could be a bit of a struggle. But they don't come cheap do they? Unless we can unearth an obscure European and get him on the cheap or take a punt on a non-league hot shot a la Jamie Vardy (did you know he turned down a contract at Rotherham early in his career?)I can't see us affording one. Still, as I said, early days - remember Rotherham 0-2 Lincoln early last season?

Having paid about $140 for the overseas full season service, I was vey disappointed with this first i-follow offering of 20/21. The app appeared to be all set to provide live video coverage of the game and then it became apparent that it would be sound only. There was a small print note on a message somewhere on page 14 that said the Carabao cup may not be covered - but then why was video available for the local on-the-day subscribers but not for us? Just seems all over the place. (Also the new app won't play on my oldish I-pad so I'll have to watch on the postage stamp sized screen on my phone...) The sound coverage only started for me after the first 40 minutes and then only the Salford commentary (which made a very dull match even duller.)
It's hard to say who underperformed the worst - the Millers or i-Follow. Let's hope both have sorted themselves out by September 12.
One worthwhile observation from the Salford commentators. Their new keeper had a very, very good game and kept them in it when we were in the ascendancy. That helps a bit but we should be more dominant. Blackman's confidence must be on the floor now after also messing up in the Hull friendly. He will need some serious confidence building if he's to get another chance
Oh dear.
If we only make one more signing please let it be Dan Barlaser. Then we could at least rely on decent set piece deliveries and penetrative passes from midfield. Both of those aspects were missing today.
Let's be honest. Today we were by far the better team by a mile but I can see why people aren't happy with the performance as we can't seem to control the ball.
This thread is called a post match thread. In all honesty, even though we were the better team, we were pretty poor.
I am still confident that we can do well this season.
