We've had quite a few in my time watching them , Ernest Dennis and Geoff Buckle , worked hard to keep the club afloat , they also built a base for forthcoming owner's to enhance things further , John Dennis was backed by other local businessmen who had a bob or 2 , I would have thought all or most of them ? Would have had some benefit from running the Club , after all they are Businessmen , Best to leave Mr Doyle and his part alone is my advice ,
There is a saying Leopards can't change their Spots , as the years have gone by and up to present day ownership , them leopards and their Spots have dramatically got bigger , The Trust , pride , togetherness , plus lack of respect towards the Fans, has split the fanbase ,
Why do you think this Pacific Media Team are here Bill ?
In my view all or most of our owners have had faults , some didn't/ dont learn from them ,
Hi Roma I hope you're keeping well.I've been watching the Reds for 55 years now and enjoyed every moment good and bad.My question was based more on actual owners and not chairmen and directors.Owners invest into clubs where the previous regimes didn't need to invest at all.
As for why are the present owners here is a tough question and depends on how they are viewed by people. What I do know is about 75% of English clubs are foreign owned maybe they are more averse to risk than English owners.Whether owners are English or from overseas the only way they can be successful is by making the team successful and that can take a little patience.I agree that all of our owners have made mistakes in the past thats why I was glad to read the current owners admitting there mistakes and hoping to rectify them.
