If it is Davis then he has experience at both cship and prem level.
This isn't some hot shot kid who's played one league cup match but thinks he's better than he actually is
I'd prefer Hurst.
According to Wicki, the lad from Villa has only scored a couple of goals in 50 odd appearances - hardly prolific.
Hurst only scored a couple of goals on loan in Belgium but in less than half the games plus he's scored at a good rate at all levels for England.
If it is Hirst then I really hope gru gets lucky with his snap uninformed judgement on him, because as we all know, he gets them wrong a lot more than he gets them right.
No doubt he'll also claim credit for the signing, in his mind we'll have only signed him because Warne has listened to his advice.

Think a decent signing if true. He knows where the onion bag is but a bit lighweight for me and not really a replacement for Smith if injured or off form. But think he will put pressure on the forwards to deliver which has got to be good...
