    No gaiety about it. All the teams have moved up a level and has been shown over the time of this regime they will do what’s needed to improve, be it facilities, staff and players.

    What would you prefer we started with a win while still playing in championship.
    We should expect to lose more than we win it’s usually what happens when you move up a level. Especially when your away to league champions or as last night to a club whose u23s have been at this level for a while.Though I think we will acclimatize much quicker than many think

    U21 game we played kids of 16 and 17. Against Stoke in the u23 we played well for 45 mins and got caught out several times - they will be better for it not least as several new players started.

    Fact we are all disappointed not to get a point against Liverpool away shows how well we played in that game.

    Prem league is a big step up and we showed we can play and compete - all good.
