Oh dear...and it was all going so well.
Andy has a point about us all rushing to have a go at an ‘easy target’, but Swale too is surely right, that...if you turn up on people’s doorsteps preaching ludicrous beliefs you’re going to get ‘some flak’...and that’s not ‘bigotry’.

Anyway...are JW’s really worth falling out over? They’re a bit of a sideshow to the main thread and I can honestly think of few things that have less relevance to the major problems we are all currently facing just with the ‘B’ and ‘C’ words. Let’s move on.

But isnt the debating of the minutiae of it the point of this forum - hence 6500 posts on Brexit, and around 200 on a question that, once posed can simply be answered "yes" and no further needed!

B word - Brexit? C word, well not, I imagine the obvious. so I give up unless we are talking a diminutive form of Raccoon on the BLM theme?

I think the ‘move on’ was from the side debate Swale had dragged us into - very happy to continue the media natter

Didn’t it all stem from the Leeds fan in the canal? Blame them!

‘C’ word was this little thing called Covid.

Haven’t we established that the media is biased...some towards the Left...some - to varying degrees - towards the Right...but more (agencies) towards the Right than the Left? Thought we were moving to Capitalism with a social conscience or ‘Conscious Capitalism’...seems the way forward.

Click on grouse shooting and you will find many of the media slamming Johnson for exempting his mates from the rule of six, including a Labour shadow minister.

On the face of it, its disgusting that the tories have exempted this one group.

But take a look at the list of organised sports covered by this exemption, put it another way, I can't think of one outdoor sport that isn't on the list.

Another example of our pitiful media making a story where there isn't one, especially when it's not that difficult to find one worthy of their attention.

I don’t ‘get’ the idea of killing wildlife for ‘fun’, Ram...but beyond that I take your point. Bit like the singing of ‘Rule Britannia’ argument...another ‘story’ totally manufactured by the media regardless of the facts.

Having said that...some of the rules and some of what’s going on at the moment does seem to have been thought up and communicated by idiots.

Totally agree RA, I enjoy most sports, including shooting, but could not contemplate shooting a living animal. Although, I accept that many people's lively hoods depend on such pastimes.

Well to me it's just even more cronyism from Johnson Who owns grouse moors non other than the PMs staunch Brexiteer friend Sir/Lord Ian Botham

No objection to shooting for food...or even the rabbit that occasionally destroys my garden, and on the rare occasions when I’ve had a go at clay pigeon shooting it’s been immensely satisfying...but just going out and slaughtering huge numbers of pheasants/grouse etc...not for me.

P.S. Didn’t realise that, mista. Maybe changes perspective.
