I envy you for Simon and Garfunkel. They have some fantastic songs.
When I was a kid I used to love the Paul Simon albumn Graceland.

I saw Art Garfunkel's one man show a couple of years ago at a casino theatre to the north of San Francisco. This was his first outing after he lost his voice. He was a long way short of his best but the show was entertaining and he talked a great deal about the S and G years and sung many of Paul's songs. The saddest part was a rendition of his showpiece - "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" - where he had to take notes in a lower register to get through. Still, fantastic to see this great phenomenon.

Jackson Browne in San Jose three years ago was just about right. He'd rearranged some of his well known pieces a bit and his voice is lower than on the recordings but the overall effect was an improvement and everything sounded fresh. A truly great performer who gets very intimate with the audience and seems quite willing to go off the set-list and play what the customers ask to hear.

Funnily enough CT, Matt Bellamy has just done a version of Bridge Over and it ain't bad at all. Not many can take that one on and pull it off :-)

I remember when I was working in Northern Ireland in the early 80's and a band was playing in the corner of a nightclub in Dungannon. I was enchanted by the little Scottish female singer with the awesome vocal range. I thought Texas was a crap name for a band but I've seen them many times since and they sound even better live than on record.

I have never had the chance to go see Jackson Browne and I wont now, he is going to be one of those that got away from me

Saw the Paul Rodgers Band , late 90's. Such a stage presence. Still has the best voice in Rock for me. Roger Daultry brilliant on the new Who album. Bands I wished I'd seen. Alex Harvey, Queen, AcDc ( Bon Scot era).

I was fortunate enough to see him live 6 times : 4 times in the 90s, one of the 21 nights at the o2 in 2007, and at leeds in 2014.

I enjoy all his recorded music but his live shows are another level entirely and it always disappointed me that he didn’t release many concert dvds. After his death they seem to have relaxed on blocking bootlegs on you tube and i’m still able to discover live footage on there now that i’ve never seen before.

Human League were quite close to their studio recordings. But the best reproduction of an album live was Fish playing Clutching Ar Straws at the Wylam Brewery in Newcastle Dec 2017

I think vocally she was the best ever, I saw her live at thence and the show was boring, she couldn't handle the crowd, a month later I saw Diana Ross vocally good but not as good,
But what a show, she had the audience eating out of her hands.
