BT, they send for me every year and I politely decline. The missus goes and then gets a few symptoms, even though she usually only suffers me and her health is generally good. I have never had a 'flu jab and I have not had a common cold for over 40 years so I shall just wait and take my chances.

Yes, they have to meet their quotas, just like when I refused to take statins many years ago after one of my regular blood tests. The next time I had a test I was summoned to the GP and told that I was Type 2 Diabetic, even though they never told me the results of the blood test. Having been Glucose Intolerant for 20 years, they just decided on my condition and prescribed tablets.
I never took one tablet, never changed anything about my life, attended the foot checks, eye checks and anything else they wanted to spend money on. After one year I was told that I wasn't even on the scale for Type 2 and that the tablets must be working! I told them that those tablets had gone down the loo when I got them ---all fell on deaf ears.
They gave me all the checks for three and a half years and a new nurse came to the practice and when I saw her she asked me why I was attending these diabetic checks because i had never been on the scale when my blood was tested. I had not been diabetic at all, however, my daugher-in-law who is a GP in Sheffield, told me that they had all been on a drive to find Type 2 and that, because I had been glucose intolerant for so long and refused statins, another government incentive scheme, they would have told me that I was diabetic.
You know my distrust of politicians, however, things like this make sure that you trust nobody! Sorry to bore you all.
