He shoots himself in the foot by trying to be clever at times. The team we’re doing well, playing decent stuff and on a good run of results and he made changes against Motherwell for no real reason (could’ve just replaced the injured Kennedy). Then there’s changes to personnel and shape against sporting. Our best chance was to just go full throttle at them - they were weakened and haven’t played a competitive game - standing back admiring them in a defensive set up played totally into their hands - when we drove at them and got more attacking players on we looked more threatening and they were there to be got at.
McInnes will always revert to that dull defensive rubbish that never works - we always lose a stupid goal and then don’t change the approach until it’s too late.
